I am committed to working with students and colleagues to stand up sustainable, accessible, equitable, and holistic student support services for ALL students. In my roles as a practitioner, I work to spearhead the inception and execution of comprehensive and dynamic student experiences.
I completed by doctorate in educational leadership at New England College. Previously, I attended the University of Connecticut for my undergraduate and Master’s programs, earning degrees in History, Education, Women, Gender and Sexuality, and Nonprofit Management. I have also engaged in Peace Studies and the study of Human Rights, specifically the Human Right to Education at the Global School for Socioeconomic Rights in Oslo, Norway.
My Research: Co-Creating Liberatory Spaces
In 2024, I completed my doctorate in educational leadership and equity. My dissertation research explored educators' perceptions of liberatory spaces in higher education. I am investigated how inequity, inequality, and injustice are perpetuated in higher education, focusing on the role of power, specifically student power and self-efficacy.
